Quote the finished component
Mark functional datums, hole positions, threads, pockets and critical tolerances. For extrusion-based parts, provide both the section and the finished-part drawing, and distinguish extrusion dimensions from machined dimensions.
Agree the process and inspection scope
Milling, drilling, tapping, cutting and any finishing are reviewed against the drawing. Include first-article requirements and batch quantities. Production is arranged through our own and partner factories, with the scope confirmed for each project.

Which drawing revision and finished dimensions should we quote?
Send the 2D drawing and 3D model with matching revision references. If they differ, identify the discrepancy so the governing dimensions can be agreed before quotation and production. For mating holes, threads and sliding fits, state whether tolerances apply before or after anodizing or coating, and mark any masking requirements. Include the required inspection stage; dimensional feasibility and the inspection scope are confirmed for each project.
Can you supply the extrusion and secondary machining together?
Yes, we can assess profile supply and the requested machining as one project. Send the section and finished-part drawings so we can confirm tooling, operations and supply scope.
Can you machine profiles we already have?
This is assessed case by case. Provide the alloy, temper, profile condition, quantity and drawings so material suitability and the required operations can be reviewed.
What files are needed for a machining quotation?
Send a dimensioned 2D drawing and, if available, a 3D model. Mark datums, critical tolerances, threads and finish requirements, and include batch quantity and any first-article inspection needs.
Should machining be done before or after finishing?
The sequence is agreed against the drawing, visible faces and coating requirements. Identify surfaces that must remain coated or free of cosmetic damage.
Can one order include different colours?
Provide the colour reference and quantity for each colour. Colour matching, samples and processing scope are assessed per order.
Can the enquiry cover machined parts rather than profile lengths?
Yes. Define the finished component and required operations in the part drawing. The material route, process feasibility and supply scope are reviewed for the project.
